Urgent Care at Druid Hills offers a “Low flat rate” for most patients with insurance . This is a simplified fee with one price covering everything. Regardless of how many different things we have to do to treat you, we won’t increase your cost. There are no hidden charges. You will always see a physician at Urgent Care at Druid Hills.
Here is how the Low flat rate system works. Depending on your insurance, the contracted Low flat rate averages around $130. The fees vary slightly based upon your particular insurance. It could be a few dollars more, or a few dollars less (the range is from $118-$150). The Low flat rate cost is paid by you and/or your insurance depending on your plan, deductible and copay. If you have a high deductible, then this is very important because you will not get a bill higher than our Low flat rate with your insurance.
Low flat rate includes everything that we provide at our urgent care such as in house labs, x-rays, medication injections, IV fluids, and procedures.
So, for example, suppose you have an insurance for which the Low flat rate price is $130. Here are some examples to illustrate how the Low flat rate would work for you:
- If you are seen for pink eye, your cost (shared by you and/or insurance) is $130 for the visit, including any procedures or medications given.
- Perhaps you fall and injure your wrist, requiring x-rays and a splint. The cost would again be $130.
- If you were in need IV fluids and nausea medication. Your cost remains $130
- During another visit, you may have a sore throat and need a strep test. The cost would still be $130.
Low flat rate does not include major tests or lab work we send out, or orthopedics material such as crutches, or casting boots. It is not included because these services are provided by outside vendors. They will bill your insurance.
